The site is set among mature oak and beech trees, planted centuries ago and the rear of the property slopes down through natural woodland to a private pier on the shores of Lough Mask. This place is truly a haven from the hustle and bustle of modern life where you can immerse yourself in nature in peaceful surroundings.
The house is of modern construction and has all the conveniences you would need. There is a sunroom to the rear of the house where you can sit and watch the changing light on the lake, regardless of the weather and the livingroom has a lovely log burning stove which you can snuggle up in front of when the weather gets a bit harsh.
Early in the morning you can see the deer grazing peacefully in the front lawn, if you are quiet and if you are really lucky you might catch two stags challenging each other for dominance during the rutting season.
You wont hear any road noise or sounds of industry here, just the sound of the waves crashing on the shore of the lake and birdsong.
This is a wifi free zone so why not take the opportunity to turn off your phone and live for a while unconnected.
Boat hire can be arranged as well as fishing trips on the lake. Caution must be exercised though as Lough Mask is a very large lake and weather can change quite quickly this close to the Atlantic.
The lake has many rocks just subsurface and it is advisable to hire an experienced guide when starting out.
